['TILL THE COWS COME HOME]

I saw this at the SVA screening!!! So well done!

So good! (and true)
Weezer is like Fiona Apple. They both struck commercial gold early on but likely would have benefited from spending more time on the indie circuit. There isn't a bad song on The Blue Album, but Pinkerton was an inspired step towards becoming something truly unique. Unfortunately for them, it wasn't watered down enough to be the follow up to the Blue album that the generic masses wanted. Instead of shaking it off and continuing their evolution, they took that as a sign that they were doing something wrong and went back to formulaic pop tracks. The same thing caused Fiona Apple to drop out of the music scene for decades. I often wonder what we could have gotten had they not blown up to such a monstrous degree early on and been able to percolate a little longer with a small but dedicated fan base.
