I make music for media (primarily animation). Work on Disney, Nickelodeon, Hulu, and tons of indies including Lackadaisy, Boxtown, Heathens, The Legend of Pipi, and more. Stylistically versatile, overly verbose, and constantly looking for work.

THE LEGEND OF PIPI IS OUT! I had the absolute pleasure of being able to provide music for this short animated film. It's not every day I get to bust out both epic orchestral chops as well as 1950's kitsch in the same film. (Shoutout to Ian Navarro Silver for his amazing intro music which helped set the tone for everything else). Everyone on the team really worked their tails off to make this and it resulted in something we're all deeply proud of. Please check it out and share it with friends if you like it.

The full version of "Gaea" by The Rotojam collective is now online!

View it here. I am unfortunately unable to post it to NG since I just provided music.

This gorgeous award winning experimental film was directed by Ash Lo Russo, animated by a team of animators using various rotoscoping techniques, all based on choreography/performance by Lady Gaea.

I was fortunate enough to be able to take an experimental electro-acoustic approach to the score for this film. The ability to have full creative license over a score is rare and very much appreciated. All sounds are created from simple waveforms and piano with a decent amount of custom granular processing done in max/msp.

The Loud House live action Christmas movie is out today! I was fortunate enough to be able to assist composer Nick Urata (of Devotchka) on a cue for this film. At the introduction of character Rip Hardcore, you'll hear about 5 minutes of some funky brassy music. This was the first feature length film I was able to work on. I hope to do more in 2022.

I haven't been very active here for awhile because I've been working on something I've had to keep secret. Since the beginning of this year, I've been a composer's assistant on a new Disney Kid's show called Chicken Squad. I'm mostly doing orchestration/arrangement, but occasionally get to write a few cues as well. It's been a ton of work, but the education has been invaluable. The show is definitely for young children so I don't expect many people over the age of 6 to watch it, and I am a pretty low person in the musical pecking order, but after working so long and hard to try to get any foothold in the music industry, it feels good to be able to take a brief moment to celebrate a win.

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to provide Ami Yamato with some music for her latest youtube video. Previously on New Grounds I had released some Mandalorian inspired tracks. Those were study sessions to eventually do the sound alike music for Ami's parody video. If you're not already familiar with her work, she does vlogs and self-insert parody videos with a CGI rendering of her persona. She's an incredibly talented animator and I feel lucky to have had the chance to work with her.

The pilot for Kevil the Japanese Devil by @Stradomyre is now out on NG and youtube. This project was incredibly fun to write music for and gave me the opportunity to draw from a variety of genres including jazz, ska, baroque, cinematic orchestral, synthwave, and more. The animation style is incredibly unique and I'm excited to see where this project goes. If you dig animation and can spare ~8 minutes, it's worth checking out. If you like it, share it with your friends. Let's get this thing out there.

This is my 2019 film scoring reel. I've got some more projects from recent animations I'd like to add, but need to wait until their officially released to add them. That said, commissions are currently open so let me know if you're working on something and need some custom music.

I'm so happy to see this project getting some love. Working on this was a ton of fun. Here's hoping we get to keep going in the future!

Last year I scored a pilot episode for a new animated sci-fi series called Starship Goldfish. Since then I've been bursting at the seams trying to keep quiet about it while it was being pitched. Shopping the show is an ongoing arduous process (we've been picked up by an awesome production company, but we'll need to do some reworking before they can help us shop it around to networks. Jason Weight (writer/director) put out a video about that on the channel in the link below). I'm happy to announce that the first episode has finally been shared on youtube. If you like adult animation and sci-fi, please check it out and let us know what you think.
